Virtual Practice Serving colorado and utah

About

Meet NÖELLE GUINN

Swell and Stone Therapy is a virtual private practice owned and founded by Nöelle Guinn, MSW, LCSW.

I grew up in Park City, Utah with a love for the outdoors and an early affinity for Psychology. Later attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. After this time, I embraced my desire for travel and embarked on a 2 1/2 month backpacking trip to Europe, exploring 14 countries.

This love of travel and adventure continued with working as a field guide in Wilderness therapy in both Utah and Hawaii. This intensive and transformative introduction to the field is what inspired the name Swell and Stone. I spent days and sometimes weeks with clients in the desert of Utah or the beaches of the Big Island. While it was often very difficult, seeing clients’ growth and healing has informed my work as a therapist and serves as the foundation for my practice.

After these experiences, I attended Colorado State University to receive my Masters in Social Work, completed with honors. Since then, I’ve worked as a primary therapist in residential treatment, community mental health, and most recently a therapist and clinical supervisor in a virtual IOP setting for teens. I strive to bring care, experience, respect, and commitment to my work.

I still love to travel and hope to one day visit every continent! I run my virtual practice out of Estes Park, Colorado where I enjoy biking, skiing, cooking, and gardening with my husband and two dogs. Find me on Sondermind, Psychology Today, and growtherapy.
